Customer Service Representative
Serves as primary point of contact with customers. Oral communication skills, including telephone etiquette, are crucial. Assist customers with billing inquiries, service requests, upgrades, disconnects, and troubleshooting. Completes paperwork for service applications and disconnects. Promotes and sells the services of the company while working with new and existing customers. High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of customer service experience. Knowledge of general office procedures. Knowledge of basic cashiering practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word and ability to master customer management and systems technology software. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work with frequent interruptions.
Construction Worker
Duties will include installing and maintaining all types of telecommunications services (including telephone and data), facilities (including copper and fiber), and related equipment. Minimum requirements include the ability to lift at least 50 pounds, a valid driver’s license with a clear 3-year driving record, the ability to work in close and confined spaces, and the ability to perform physically exerting tasks with routine exposure to dust, dirt, wind, and temperature extremes. This position is subject to on-call and overtime requirements. Previous experience with mechanical and electrical power tools is required, and a basic understanding of electronics is preferred. Ideal candidates will also have IP networking experience.
Network/Operations Center Technician
Responsible for monitoring, maintenance, and operation of various telecommunications service delivery network elements. Examples include voice switch and voice mail system, access tandem, fiber and copper access equipment, optical transport network, and broadband access network. Technician is responsible for on-call emergency support on an employee rotation schedule. Minimum requirements to apply include intermediate-level knowledge and experience of IP networking, superior organizational skills and attention to detail, proficient computer/ keyboarding skills, and an aptitude for learning new software applications. The ability to handle multiple activities occurring simultaneously in multiple systems, being able to work well in a fast-paced team environment, and ensuring timely and accurate data entry also are required. A valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record are required.
Combination Technician
Performs the installation and maintenance of telephone, hosted PBX, and broadband services. Work closely with network operations and interface with central office equipment as needed. The education and experience requirements for this position include an associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year technical college in telecommunications; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Employees must have the knowledge and skills to install, maintain, and repair copper and fiber optic telecommunications equipment and infrastructure. A valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record are required.
Accounting Manager
Opportunity to grow into Controller role. To be considered, applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and at least two years related work experience. A high proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must. CPA, MBA, or additional experience in related fields and industries are a plus. General Accounting responsibilities include: ensuring adherence to generally accepted accounting principles and Part 32; journal entries, account reconciliations; month-end close; financial statement preparation and analysis; quarterly and annual regulatory reporting; annual budget and five year forecast; creation and maintenance of financial reports within the accounting software system; preparation of PBC’s for external auditors. Administrative responsibilities related to Grants and Contracts include: contract review and preparation; creation and maintenance of schedules for contracts; review and approval of contractor invoices; preparation of funding requests; contract reconciliation and preparation of amendment and close-out documents; responding to grant auditor requests.
