Millry Communications is constructing fiber to the premise that will pass approximately 960 homes and businesses in the Leroy, St. Stephens, and Wagarville communities to deliver speeds of at least 100/100 Mbps. Construction started March 17, 2025, and is expected to be completed by February 26, 2026. Subscriber activations should begin in July 2025 and continue as construction progresses.

Under the Alabama Capital Projects Fund administered by the Department of Economic and Community Affairs, Millry Communications received a grant for up to $3.6M to provide service to 100 percent of currently unserved households, businesses, and anchor institutions within the proposed funded service area. The company matched the grant funds with an investment of at least $1.2M.

Millry Communications  intends to expand the construction area, where feasible, to meet subscriber demand.
